Main Floor Gas Trap Protocol

I. Purpose

The main floor gas trap system is a critical component of our security measures, designed to deter and incapacitate unauthorized individuals. To facilitate the safe and efficient transition of guard personnel during shift changes, the system must be temporarily deactivated and subsequently reactivated according to the following procedures.

II. Deactivation Procedure

Time of Deactivation: 12:10 AM daily.

1. Authorization:

Only the Shift Supervisor or an appointed senior officer may authorize the deactivation of the gas traps. The responsible officer must possess the Brass Deactivation Key and the Authorization Ledger.

2. Access to Control Panel:

Proceed to the Security Control center located in the center of the main floor lobby. Unlock the control panel using the Brass Deactivation Key.

3. Deactivation Sequence:

- Step 1: Enter the security code "11-2-31-4-5" using the brass dials.

- Step 2: Turn the left valve clockwise until it clicks thrice.

- Step 3: Pull the lever marked "Gas Trap Deactivation" downward until it locks into place.

4. Confirmation:

Verify that the Green Indicator Lamp illuminates, signaling successful deactivation. Record the time of deactivation and the officer's signature in the Authorization Ledger.

III. Guard Shift Change Protocol

Duration of Shift Change: 12:10 AM to 12:25 AM (15 minutes).

1. Assembly:

Incoming guards are to assemble at the Main Entrance by 12:05 AM for a handover briefing conducted by the outgoing Shift Supervisor.

2. Handover Briefing:

The outgoing Shift Supervisor shall apprise the incoming team of any incidents, special instructions, or notable observations.

3. Patrol Transition:

- Outgoing guards shall complete their final patrol and report any irregularities.

- Incoming guards shall assume their designated posts promptly at 12:15 AM.

4. Equipment Check:

Each guard must inspect their equipment, ensuring all apparatus are in proper working order before commencing duty.

IV. Reactivation Procedure

Time of Reactivation: 12:25 AM daily.

1. Verification:

Confirm that all outgoing personnel have vacated the secured areas and that incoming guards are at their posts.

2. Reactivation Sequence:

- Step 1: Ensure the control panel is unlocked with the Brass Deactivation Key.

- Step 2: Push the lever marked "Gas Trap Deactivation" upward to its original position.

- Step 3: Turn the right valve counterclockwise until it clicks twice.

3. Confirmation:

The Red Indicator Lamp should illuminate, indicating that the gas traps are active. An audible chime will sound to confirm successful reactivation.

4. Record-Keeping:

Enter the time of reactivation and the officer's signature in the Authorization Ledger.

V. Emergency Procedures

1. Delayed Reactivation:

If reactivation cannot occur at the scheduled time due to unforeseen circumstances, the Shift Supervisor must notify upper management immediately and implement additional patrols until the system is reactivated.

2. System Malfunction:

Any irregularities or malfunctions in the gas trap system must be reported to Maintenance Supervisor Zachary Ironwright without delay.

---

General Conduct

- Guards must remain vigilant at all times, adhering strictly to their patrol routes and schedules.

- Unauthorized access to the Security Control Console or tampering with the gas trap system is strictly prohibited and will result in immediate disciplinary action.

- Any suspicious activity observed during the shift must be documented in the Daily Logbook and reported to the Shift Supervisor.
